| CHC10108 Certificate I in Work Preparation (Community Services) This qualification prepares participants for workplace entry. It is a pathway qualification that could provide outcomes such as: participation in a VET in Schools program at Certificate II; enhanced career clarification; participation for people returning to study or work, particularly people who have been out of the formal workforce for a time. It also enables people who have been volunteers to have their attained competencies recognised (for example, through a Recognition of Prior Learning process). This Certificate is designed to provide pathways into post compulsory education or employment for youth requiring an alternate learning setting to school and those who have disconnected. Emerald Secondary College is delighted to be able to offer, via partnerships with the Emerald Centre for Hope and Outreach and the Australian College of Youth Training, another opportunity for our students to undertake a vocational learning experience. The Cert 1 Workplace Preparation Course will support their personal development as well as their learning and aspirations back at school and potentially for further study or work experience.
