Courses
We are registered to offer the following nationally recognised qualifications
from the CHC08 Community Services Training Package, and two food handling
units of competency.
Certificate IV in Youth Work
Certificate I in Work Preparation
Safe Food Handling
° CHC41808
Certificate IV in Youth Work This training would suit Youth Leaders
and workers both in paid employment and volunteers who have experience
working with young people in a community setting. Selection is by an
interview, and applicants need to be over 18 years of age and preferably
have completed some field work. There is also a requirement of 200 hours
field work to achieve a complete Certificate
° CHC10108 Certificate
I in Work Preparation (Community Services)
This program would suit young people who might have disconnected from
school or be looking for an alternative learning setting to school.
The Certificate is designed to provide pathways into post compulsory
education or employment. An interview is required.
° Safe Food Handling
We also offer two nationally recognised units of competency in safe
food handling for people who require training in basic food handling
and safety, for example volunteers or employees where these units are
required for participation. The units we offer are: HLTFS207B Follow
basic food safety practices and SITXFSA001A Implement Food Safety Procedures.
Through our selection processes, we will assess the suitability of people
to enrol, including ensuring they have the language and literacy skills
to the level required in the workplace.
