Q - Who are ACYT?

A - ACYT is a training college set up to help youth at risk.

Q - What region do you cover?

A - Our Cert I in work preparation course is about helping young people in our local area. The Cert IV course in Youth Work format is specifically designed to meet the needs of students from anywhere in the State, even rural areas.

Q - How do your courses differ from the TAFE?

A - In two important ways ...
   1. The course content contains a much higher level of assignment work (practical experience)
   2. There is a strong focus on working with youth at risk

Q - The courses seem to be less expensive than the major Tafe's Does this mean they are inferior?

A - Absolutely not, ACYT is a not-for-profit organisation and our focus on youth at risk makes us eligable for tax relief as well as qualifying us for grants from charitable trusts.

Q - I notice that you have a Christian affiliation, does this mean it's aimed at church people?

A - Absolutely not, all are welcome and religion (of any kind) is not a part of the syllabus. Our certificates are recognised nationally.
